If you have a bit of canned pumpkin left over from a baking project, this is something you can do with it. This kefir-based smoothie with pumpkin purée, cinnamon, and ginger, calls to mind the flavour of the classic Thanksgiving dessert.
Makes 2 servings
Ingredients
1½ cups kefir
⅔ canned pumpkin purée
1 frozen ripe banana, broken into chunks
2 dried dates, chopped
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground ginger
Instructions
Blend all of the ingredients together until smooth.
